SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) repairs are carried out using state-of-the-art equipment and technology at the convenience of your workplace or home.
To repair colour coded bumper scuffs, firstly we must determine the correct colour match for your car. This is achieved by comparing the car to thousands of colour chips provided by PPG Nexa Aquabase Plus. PPG Aquabase Plus is a state-of-the-art water-based paint system developed by ICI and used commercially by many car manufacturers worldwide. Once this is done, we mix the paint on board the van to match your car. Having done this we work on the panel, first sanding to remove any rough area and to “feather” the area back in preparation for painting. Sometimes it is necessary with dents or deep scratches to fill the area of damage.
Once repaired, the area is primed and then painted with a base coat (colour) which, once dried, is lacquered over and blended into the original paintwork to bring the area back to pristine condition. Painting and lacquering is achieved using high quality compressors and paint spray guns.
